These are all pictures for my builder persona. These photos were took when I work on a monday. They show me at work, and also the house we are working on.

Franko B

Franko B is an Italian performance artist who is based in London. Franko B uses his own body in his art. His work focuses on the visceral and he uses his own blood as a medium. He makes his body into a canvas to try and portray ''the pain, the love, the hate, the loss, the power and the fears of the human condition''.
The thing I like about this image (Below) is the way Franko tries to get across a message by the use of blood and dirt. I think he is trying to get across the theme of 'pain' by the use of the blood all running down the head and the colour red hich is a pretty strong colour which could mean either love or pain. The only materials used here is the blood and the back of the head. Also the triangles rule could come in here or maybe even thirds.

Composite Image Research

This image is for an album cover. It is an example of a composite collage technique in which the face is made up of different colours and materials. This image links in with the composite image task as we have got to blend two images together and this image is a face blended in with different materials. I like the colours in this image and the way the blend of the face makes the face look very realistic and how all of the main features are included such as the chin and the eyebrows.

Hermann Nitsch

Hermann Nitsch (born 29 August 1938) is an Austrian artist who works in experimental and multimedia modes. Born in Vienna, Nitsch recieved training in painting during the time he studied at the Wiener Graphische Lehr-und Versuchansalt... bit of a mouthfull ;) He is called an ''actionist'' or a performance artist. He is associated with the Vienna Actionists, and like them concieved his art outside traditional categories of genre. Nitsch's abstract spatter paintings, like his performance pieces, established a theme of controlled violence, using BRIGHT REDS, MAROONS and PALE GREYS that communicate organic mutilation.

This piece (above) looks like the colour has actually exploded outwards. I like the strong colour used, which also expresses Nitch's theme of 'controlled violence' by using the red.

This piece looks like the colour has ran downwards. The beetroot like purpely colour makes it stand out and makes it look more interesting. I think this piece has been made by throwing paint against a canvas or wall (whichever it is) and then been left to run down, creating the different shades of purple whilst runnind down and drying. It actually looks like the bolder part of the paint has been shaped the way it is... kind of.
